Based in the King George's playing fields, a short distance from the Town Centre, Brentwood Golf Centre is recognised as one of the best municipal courses in Essex.

Developed by the famous 60's designer Fred Hawtree, the course is a challenge to the accomplished player whilst being enjoyable for both the high handicapper and the beginner. Set in 120 acres of parkland, the course offers a mature setting where golfers can enjoy attractive woodland areas, offering extensive wildlife and natural flowers preserved in their natural habitat.

Opened in 1963 as a 9 hole course, Hartswood has since been developed into 18 holes measuring 6,227 metres (par 70) from the back tees. Prime location makes it easily accessible from all major transport routes with ample car parking and plenty of activities for the rest of the family. The centre also hosts one of the leading golf shops, offering an extensive range of golfing equipment and accessories.

The Hartswood Golf Club based at the centre offers a comprehensive competition programme and provides an ideal location for a quiet drink, with excellent views of the 1st and 18th fairways. Alternatively, a café is available for a wide range of snacks and beverages.
