Health Promotion Programmes

Health promotion is something the Brentwood Centre takes very seriously and it continues to expand its Community Health Programme. Targeting older people, cardiac patients and those who need personal attention. Programmes include:

Older Peoples Postural Stability & Falls Management Activity Session
Sessions take place in Highwood Hospital and focus on balance, stability and function activities, which help those who have fallen or have a fear of falling. Clients are referred on to the programme by the Intermediate Care Pathway Managers. On completion, clients are recommended to attend similar sessions at the Brentwood Centre.

Cardiac Rehabilitation
Aimed at those who have had a heart attack or heart surgery. Participants must be referred from the hospital rehab team.

Fitness For Health sponsored by Bupa Hartswood Hospital
Clients are referred from their GP to take part in a 12-week exercise plan, commencing with a fitness test and careful monitoring by highly trained staff.
