Roller Success at the Brentwood Centre

Roller Success for The Brentwood Centre

It seems that Brentwood has gone wheelie mad for roller skating, judging by the fantastic turn out at The Brentwood Centre’s first Street Team Roller Disco on Saturday afternoon.

The Brentwood Centre and The Street Team joined forces to invite all roller skaters, heelies and scooters to the International Hall for a 2 Hour Disco session. The afternoon included fun for adult only skaters, scooter sessions and Roller Skaters all to the latest music by the Street Teams D.J.

The Street Teams main man, Big Fen was really pleased with the turn out saying ‘ This is just the first of what we hope to be many Roller Disco’s at The Brentwood Centre. The event was put on at short notice but the turnout was amazing! We managed to get around a lot of the schools to let them know about the event, as well as advertising on both The Brentwood Centre and our own website to spread the word around.’

The Roller Disco provided music, disco lighting and refreshments with Big Fen, resident compare for the London Leopards Basketball Team on the microphone organising activities and special group activities to ensure everybody got their turn to show off their moves.

Nicky Smith, Marketing Manager at the Brentwood Centre added ‘It was so good to see Adults and Kids of all ages enjoying the disco. You don’t realise the exercise benefits of skating while you are having fun, but I know I certainly ached the next day!’

The next roller disco at The Brentwood Centre is due to be held on the afternoon of  the 10th April. More details can be found on www.brentwood-centre.co.uk  or call main reception on 01277 215151
