To prepare for the event Councillor Reed has been taking part in the health walks which are held every Wednesday starting from the Brentwood Centre at 6pm and he has been given professional attention from Mark Walmsley, Sports Massage Therapist based at the Brentwood Centre.
Mark is raising money for SNAP, Special Needs and Parents, a charity that supports hundreds of families across Essex and who work so hard to both fundraise and to deliver the best support possible for the families.

Councillor Mark Reed added: "I am probably not the fittest man in Brentwood so this is going to be a difficult challenge for me to complete. But with Mark Walmsley helping me, I hope to raise lots of money for this wonderful charity to end fundraising during my Mayoral year on a high."
The 'marathon' walk will be taking place on Wednesday 11 May from 8am to 8pm in the foyer of The Brentwood Centre. Mark can be sponsored athttps://www.justgiving.com/Mark-Reed14/ and is looking to raise £1500, with £300 already promised from co-walkers.
