If you didn't know already; our upstairs cafe is finally moving from it's out-of-the-way position, to a central position in our main reception. It will have an earthy and organic decor whilst providing tasty coffee and wholesome, healthy foods. Part of the BLTcafe will be a new bar, which will serve a wide array of drinks includins a selection of Brentwood Brewery beers. Please follow this blog for regular updates and pictures.

11th July - Units.
The units have been fitted and you can see the basic shape of the counter. Plum purple fronts and the granite work top coming soon!

28th June 2012 - Top to bottom!
As you can just about see through the ladders and protector, the floor is in and the ceiling is being completed! If you look closely at the right hand side of the picture, you can also see the new units. Under 3 weeks to go now!

25th June 2012 - Coming out of our shell!
The plastering has been completed, the ceiling is in and the floor is being placed as we speak. It's only a few weeks until we will be able to unveil the completed BLTcafe and we are very excited about it. The two pictures below show the view from our main reception and the view from beind the counter.

18th June 2012 - Our friends Brentwood Brewing Co.
To help try and make this the best possible cafe/bar, we've got the best brewers in the country on board! If you haven't heard of the fantastic Brentwood Brewery before then head over to their new website :http://www.brentwoodbrewing.co.uk/. To further increase our growing partnership with them, we've come up with the concept of having our very own branded beers for the bar. Below you can see some of the ideas we've come up with and we do hope you come down and support your local leisure centre and local brewers by enjoying a 'Feel the Burn".

12th June 2012 - From bar/cafe to MMA studio!
5th June 2012 - The Serving Hatch.
In an attempt to make our new Cafe as accessible as possible, we will have a serving hatch for our International Hall. As you can see, the two storage cupboard doors have been bricked up and the Hatch will be placed on the right-hand side. The hatch will serve events, kids parties and Gym Rox tots/Fun tots.

29th May 2012 - Inside the cupboard!
Here we have a sneak peak of what's going on behind the wooden dividers in reception! Basically, all the walls have been floored and the store cupboard has been cleared, creating space for our new facility. You can just about make out the faint line of where the counter is going to go as well!

22nd May 2012 - 'The Wall'
A temporary wall has been erected to hide the demolition going on behind it. Please bare with us as it may be quite noisy in reception!

21st May 2012 - Wired!
The ceiling has been removed to replace the wiring. Don't worry, the area is all courdoned off!

18th May 2012 - Development of the Stage Bar:
With the old store cupboards being knocked down for the cafe, the sports hall equipment needs to go somewhere! Our old bar to the left of the hall will become derelict with a new bar downstairs, so it is being developed into new store cupboards for the sports hall equipment.
