Macmillan coffee morning: 24/09/10
On Friday September the 24th we hosted our very own coffee morning in aid of the Macmillan cancer research fund. There were thousands of events up and down the country on this morning and we were very proud to run our own for the first time this year.
The morning itself was a great success. We had a cake sale, a raffle (hosted by the Brentwood Centre Badminton club), local business stands (EFX and Black Vanilla cupcakes) and a charity car wash (which was great fun even in the rain).
In total we raised around £550 which is a fantastic total for a morning's work and we are looking forward to beating this amount next year!
We would like to thank Cheryl from the Badminton Club, Barry from EFX, Vic from Black vanilla cupcakes, both Claire and Lorna from Macmillan and all staff involved who helped make this day a success.
